Detector(s) used
Whites XLT./ Detectorpro HH PI../Excalibur 2
I your opinion... the best water machine in order say 1 thru 10 or whatever..
Do water machines pin point ? or is all based on the tone you get.
I also hear people talking about a machine that gives you clicking tone ..
what is that all about (or is that a particular brand)
I have an xlt for land and I am very spoiled by it's pinpointing
it is so accurate!!! Not interested in diving but I am interested in shallows
say waist to knee deep. Detector pro has 2 I think.. is one for diving and the other for shallow?

Thanx to all

AQUA PULSE AND FISHER 8X ARE THE BEST I HAVE USED. PULSE MODELS WILL COME CLOSER TO PINPOINTING.

If you like your XLT get a whites beach hunter ID. It works alot like yur XLT but is better in the salt and it is water proof.

What's wrong with the Whites is none are hip mountable execpt the Beach Hunter II. Otherwise you could use your land detector in the water while wading. I don't know which detector "clicks?" The Dectector Pro is ok but the Beach Hunter II has it stomped in the sand with operation. Beach Hunter II has three tones to help id the target as does the CZ20.

Water machines don't really need to pinpoint as well as a land unit since you use a scoop to retreive. The Fisher CZ20 and Excalibur both have this mode but they are costly and well made. Water machines call for a lifetime warranty and only Fisher and Tesoro offer this.

Don't get a PI detector unless your going to do saltwater beaches. They love iron and after digging plus two foot holes you'll throw it into the surf and crawl back home.
