Wax seal

Made it out yesterday for a short pin point dig at my one 1812 site and pulled this seal out. This being my first but wish it wasn't bent down though. Still, I gonna keep it lol.

Good find with lots of guilt left, more than the normal ploughed field find. These types were more fashion than function but could be used.

Thanks all and it was on a forest hillside, so no plowed field for me this time. It did clean up well and that's thanks to the jelly I used

Lol, if it was that easy all the time IH. This way can only be done where heavy iron is and takes a lot of time as slow going....let alone all the nails to clean up.
