The UPS man delivered the last of our machines today, so the kids and I went on our first hunt. A friend lives in a home built pre-1920 and we went and dug in the flower beds.

We found a big piece of plate-metal.
We found lots of really big nails. Framing, perhaps?
We found a not-old bicycle part.
We found the leftover metal from a shotgun shell. I read the correct term for this somewhere else on here but forgot. A plug?
We found some coal.
We found some clad. $0.25 to be exact.
But most importantly:
We found that the kids really like the adventure and will probably continue. They spent over an hour and a half digging trash and they loved every minute of it. I can only imagine if we ever get into something good. LOL
