Davidfl and I got out over the weekend and found that the people are finally getting into the water. David has scored a couple gold rings already this year in the form of two returns
and I have yet to find a gold ring so I was ready to get my first and David was ready to get one to keep so off we went. I was the first to get a ring....
and was very hopeful when I saw the stones but when I checked the marking inside I was kind of let down but I kind of knew it was not my turn yet....
We made our way down the beach and I looked up to see David with his bucket in the air and I instantly knew he had GOLD....
It was a nice heavy mens wedding ring weighing almost 7 grams of 14K GOLD
Karma seemed to kick in for him from the returns of the last two weeks and I was really happy for him but needed my own and only a couple steps from where he found his I got a really nice middle tone that I knew had a chance. When I looked in my bucket I thought to myself that I finally got a gold ring....
I showed David and he also thought it was good and now I just had to find out what karat it was. After much squinting and turning it into the sun I was let down once again....
I did manage to save my day a little when I located this 57 gram Black & Blue cross with 16 diamonds in it
Even though it is stainless steel it comes with a $500 price tag new and fetches over $100 bucks on eBay so even though i didn't get the gold that day we did have fun and there's always next time...
