I was going to post these yesterday after I picked them from the coinstar at my grocery store - but then I saw Spizzerinctum's post "teller alerts collector..." about the 52 silver quarters and 113 silver Rosies and felt my finds were insignificant by comparison. But here they are:

Someone is looking for double props. It’s cool, I’ll give it, this is more than I’ve found via coin star in MONTHS!!

Nice find mega

Thanks - my first coinstar silver since January.

Megalodon, you of all people should know that silver is silver and every find is excellent. Teller coop or not. Great finds. We all wish we were you today.

Mega! Tell me that's a 1949S! Can't believe you pulled that from a coinstar...:happy3:

Any silver is good silver. We've all had weeks or even months finding little or none.

Nope, no mintmark. I remembered that you need the 49S and turned it over right away...

Oddly enough, it was my second '49 dime of the week. The other was a Canadian dime and the only silver in $900 of dime rolls.

That's a big find still...actually, MIhunter, one of the most successful dime CRHers of this decade, ran arguably the most successful thread in TN CRH forum history. The lone holdout for him to complete his Roosevelt set was the 1949. Took him over a year to go from one hole to a complete set and when he finally did, he found his second 1949 just a few days later!

Here's the Canada 1949 found a few days earlier

Last week was pretty good for dimes. Found the Canada 1949 on Thursday, the 1899 Barber on Friday, and the 49 Rosie on Saturday.

Insignificant and found silver don't seem to go together, regardless of quantity or circumstance! I say congratulations to you...the guy that had the good sense to check that reject tray. Imagine how many people walked past those coins that weekend before you.

Geez I walk towards the coinstar in my local market and people are checking it. Word is getting out

Nice scoops.....

Word has been out among store employees. My finds have come when they were all too busy to check the coinstar - holidays, weekends, etc.

Nothing wrong with those at all!!!!! :occasion14:

1 coin in the coin star today. Am I the only one that wants to search the trashcan next to the coin star? For all the dads that go, why won’t this effing machine take my Effen Coins! And see there is $.80
And chuck it in the trash...

Good find! Our grocery store coinstars don't have trash cans beside them, but our banks do have small open trash cans and yes, I have found silver in them, the best being a Barber dime. My preference when using a coin machine at a bank, actually, credit union, is to do it before lunch time so there is less chance of lunch trash in those small trash cans covering up coins.
