Weekend Finds 5/14 & 5/15
Great Saturday, horrible Sunday.
I usually dont CRH on weekends, but there was a massive 100+ house garage 15 minutes from where I live, so me and my brother went silver hunting hitting up banks in the area as well.
Saturday: 3 Banks
Halves:
1 box: x1 40%
$17.50 loose: Skunk
Dimes:
3 boxes: x1 1960
$20 CWR: Skunks
There was a large estate sale of some old lady within the garage sales, they told us they took all of the silver out but we were determined to search everything. Here's what we found
x1 Hand mirror faintly marked "sterling": 357grams
x2 vase's with "Weighted sterling" written on the bases: 210grams each
x1 hidden large serving with a giant mark of "international silver co": 2 lbs. need to get it checked
x1 candy bowl, inside painted black but it has the lion hallmarks on it: 620grams
Date with the teller that night went awesome, shes in her final year of the college I just graduated from, joined the sorority I used to hang out with, and got really excited when I told her about the coins. We struck a deal, she is going to try and get me as much as she can, and I split whatever she gives me 50/50.
This girl is awesome.
The downside (apart from no picture), she canceled Friday because she was sick. On Sunday I went to go climb Mt. Baldy and guess what... I woke up sick. That combined with the last second forecast change from "very sunny and a pleasant climb" to "holy crap its going to be windy and snow a crap-ton" made for a very bad climb.
Got 4 boxes coming today
