This weekend was better than usual. Saturday afternoon I went back to the woods that's been giving up at least one silver each of my first 3 trips. My 4th trip didnt disappoint! Totally surprised to find a 1904 Canadian LC and 1920 Canadian Quarter. I also found some neat relics and a 1904 Barber Dime.

This morning I met up with pa-dirt_nc-sand for a hunt in some woods we never been to, in search of some foundations. His thread is here http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/today-s-finds/602484-eagle-belt-plate-burgh.html. I was able to find what looks to be a 1896 V nickel, 1910 wheatie, and some relics.

Thanks for looking and good luck on your hunts.

Nice finds!!!

Nice recoveries Louis, you had a solid weekend :icon_thumleft:

Congratulations, it looks like you both had a great day! I was out today in North-Central Pa but the ground was still frozen and didn’t find too much. It was nice being out today after the cold winter.

Quarter, dime, nickel, large penny. You covered it all this weekend. The tombac button is probably the oldest thing we found this weekend. Congrats on your finds!

Did you try any wooded areas? Usually it's less frozen there.

When you put it that way it seems even better haha

Love that quarter. Someone posted a video a while back on the coin forum that was from the Canadian mint in 1920. They showed making quarters. Very interesting and maybe your quarter was in the video...you never know! Gary

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

I love old Canadian coins. They are so regal looking. Nice saves!

really nice hunt, nice recoveries on the silver, really like the ornate plate, congrats on all the saves

Great hunts you had and thanks for sharing. Love the 1920 Canada quarter.

A pretty good assortment of finds. I have not found very many Canadian silver coins where I live.

Good Job, congrats! :occasion14:

This was my first Canadian Silver and my 2nd Canadian LC. It makes me wonder if someone that just got to Pittsburgh from Canada was walking thru those woods decades ago.

That would be cool to see. There were less than 2 million minted so it could've been in the video.

Nice finds man! Congrats on that sweet Canadian silver too.

Nice Barber! But I really like that silver Canadian quarter. Congrats! :icon_thumleft:
