I received my Minelab Explorer 2 on Thursday. I got out over the weekend to use it and see how it performs. I went to a few places I have been hitting for almost 6 months. I haven't been hitting these sites very much anymore because nothing was being found. This is what the Explorer 2 squeaked out of two VERY hard hit farmhouses. I am most excited the I found my FIRST Barber Dime!! FINALLY!! It was only 3"-4" down, BUT it was on it's side and was a very quick signal that my other machines missed. I also hit a local park, that is where all the clad is from. Friday was a 3 hour hunt. Saturday and Sunday were marathon hunts...sun up to sun down. I am new to the numbers on the Explorer 2, so I am just digging everything above iron. Finding all that clad at the park over 2 days almost killed me. 3 different baseball fields at this place. Found almost all of the clad near the two concession stands. My body is actually sore from all the diggin', hahaha!! LOTS of trash dug too...

Old roomkey FOB. At first I though it was a worn coin because I saw the ridges around the edge. Then I saw "NO.6"....

Good stuff ,I like the lighter. nice!

I bet your sore, thats a lot of getting down. getting up. and digging in between it all!:tongue11:

Question: does it feel much different that the AT Pro when your swinging it?:icon_scratch: The AT Pro has such a quick recovery speed I've gotten to where I'm pretty quick with it.

I'll let you know when I go to the CoinStar later...

(Herbie) You still want the books? I am finished. Send them to you when you shoot me an addy.

Yes, I was exhausted (About 26 hours total hunting time in a 2 1/2 day time period). I figured I wanted to get the feel for the machine and this weekend was a great weekend. Temps were perfect. The AT Pro does have quick recovery, especially with the 5 x 8 DD coil (I use it more than the stock 8.5 X 11). Maybe I just swing slow naturally, but I don't have any issues with slow recovery speed with the Explorer 2. So, I don't feel it's that big of a difference. Others may disagree.....
