I spent a heck of a lot of time swinging today, with not much to show for it. I did find this very unusual ring however. It looks like something some high school girl made in jewelry class! Part of the reason I say that is because it's not stamped. It came out of the whole real clean and it's heavy though. Anyone ever seen one like this? I like it but don't have a clue about it. Congratulations

Yeah , it could have been an academic jewelry project - it's a lost wax cast piece (kinda heavy porosity due to oxidation in the flask or
overheating the silver in the crucible ) nice find !

You know your stuff! Thanks for the explanation - gives me a nice story to tell when I show it.

Nice find looks heavy

Never seen one but that's. What makes it cool!

Not that I'd know anything about this but, if you straightened that thing out leaving the circle part for a handle, it would look like a tiny spoon. Perhaps a coke spoon. A coke spoon ring. =)

That sure is different, that's one of the things that makes this hobby so great! Congrats on a unique piece.

WHAT A NICE RING FIND .

Looks like part of a belt buckle to me but I need glasses to find a door.

Do you realize the humor in that observation coming from a poster named "Fix"? Lol

Def looks handmade! Pretty cool find though! I'm sure we would all love to have that as part of our collection!
