Yes, the "teeth" appear to be copper.

Thanks for your post. I just went to google images for "Rolling Stones Silver Tongue," and though I did see your image and some other Stones tongues, I think theres too many differences. Though thanks again for trying to ID it.

It reminds me of an antique woman's hair barette or clip. I think the "teeth" were for keeping it in the hair...Just my 2 cents..

Re: Weird "Silver" Item From The Woods Today

Those teeth appear to be silver soldered,COOL what ever it is though!! God Bless Chris MERRYCHRISTMAS

I would venture a guess from the way the tips of that mouth look that it is only part of the original item. It may have been mounted on a base with the lower lip.

I guess I better get back there and see if I can find the other piece.

If you posted this in "What is it?" then it would be as frustrating of a post as the egg timer one. :tard:

There's a lot of handmade jewellery out the3re today, some of it pretty odd. Probably falls in that category.

nice to hear your getting out bill i found a 1796 cent a few weeks ago in orient. hey silvers silver scott newman hh

If I would have found that item here, in S. Korea, I would way that it is an old old Chinese form of money, dating back several
thousand years......where and how it got its teeth, I wouldn't have the foggiest.
BUTTTTTTT, being found NOT HERE......I just look and enjoy.
Merry Christmas, THers.
