A couple weeks ago I found a 1844-5 New Orleans World?s Fair medal. Like I said it was so crusted all I could see was they had a shield then with the help of gene that one of my friends I.D it for me. Well with a little electrolysis and some brass brushes I bought this is the outcome

Thanks Don I?m proud of it When I got it I didn?t know what it was but I did see a shield so I knew no matter what i was going to love it. That?s a once in a lifetime find as far as I?m concerned.

Awsome cleaning job , very nice fine . I really enjoy finding items like that because of the story they tell

It really is something special to me it?s big, heavy, date 1884-5 (unique) says New Orleans and also tied in a very special and personal memory for me. When I was 14 me and my friends would pack in my friend?s mother?s old Impala (He was the first one to get his drivers license at 15) and we would drive the 50 miles every weekend to downtown New Orleans World Fair in 1984 every weekend that year that?s where we ordered our first beers at a actual bar. I think about that very very often So I was supposed to find and save this New Orleans history. i collect all my childhood memories [emoji631]image-2021-09-18-13:19:16-930.webp
