Had a terrible headache and was debating going out to see some friends at a bar, decided I'll go metal detecting instead to spare myself from any more pain. Found a nice chunky 13.8g 18k ring and was pretty glad I made the decision I did. The tided was very low and we had some waves recently. When I found the ring it was in some harder packed clay and rocks and I knew the waves must have taken quite a bit of the top sand with them surprisingly. They beaches keep getting sanded in so I really didn't expect so many good finds and I was at the area recently and it wasn't very good. Ended up finding 4 more 18k rings, 3 one after another and then one more right before I decided to go home.
When I got home I weighed it all up and was extremely happy to find about $1000 spot of 18k gold in a pretty short amount of time. I noticed the biggest one had a designer name inside so decided to Google it and see what it would cost from the maker. I just about s**t my pants when I saw that they go for a little over $4400 new. It's gonna be really hard to top this one this year or next haha. The name of the ring designer is boucheron if you guys don't wanna take it from me.
Happy hunting guys
Have a great 2019!!

EDIT: changed 10k to 18k
