Wells Fargo 1852

Hi All!

Found this at about 9"...My Tesoro cortez was screaming silver, but it's not...It says
" Wells Fargo" on the front top, and "since 1852" on front bottom.
The back is the eagle with 18 stars and an "HM" at the bottom. The edges are reeded, like a quarter, and it sounds like a quarter when dropped onto a surface..
Any ideas??

It is a modern (post 1970) amusement token. The HM signifies the Hoffman Mint, http://www.hoffmanmint.com/tokens.html the manufacturer. I can't tell you where it was used.

Actually, upon further thought, this may not be an amusement token, but a giveaway by the Wells Fargo company, or perhaps something that was used in the WF headquarters - for instance it might have worked in a vending machine in the company cafeteria. The WF website says:
... we will provide what information we can if you send us a picture and whatever you know about the item.

I had just found the same token myself about 4" down. Same thing it sounded like a quarter on my fisher f5 with the NEL Hunter coil.
