I've been reading a lot about this place. It was a haven for outlaws since the early 19th century to the 1970s or.....still? Hundreds of people lived up there in makeshift settlements over the years. Aerial map shows now a wildlife refuge. Would love to hit this place but not alone and unarmed.

Hi dmac, I have lived there all of my life and my family has been there before 1740. I know a fair bit about the lay of the land and am still a novice at treasure hunting. Let me know if you are interested in doing some hunting up in that area.

Did some MDing at and around money rocks last week. Found Abraham Most's homestead- saw it on an 1864 map in the park and had to investigate. A lot of trash around the rocks, lots of cans and so much leaf litter couldn't even get solid hits in the surrounding woods. Did find a nice flat button. Still patiently cleaning it up. If u have some good locations would be happy to go with you. I usually bring my dog- medium sized but keeps people from sneaking up on me.
