I was at the bank today and spotted fresh mint rolls ((Philadelphia) of the West Virginia quarter so I picked up 3 of them. Any one know of any errors discovered in these yet?

off topic:
I also had a thought that the design should have been a miners family holding a vigil at a cave-in... >:(

Yes there are reports of quite a few WV quarters with "die breaks" along the edge of the reverse design. They will look like little blobs of metal that extend into the design and can have a value of $5-$10.

Ever since the quarter series began there's been discussion about a state quarter "curse" since a lot of tragedies and mishaps have occured within the time frame of certain states' releases. A few examples -

- New Hampshire's "Old Man of the Mountain" natural rock formation collapsed around the quarter's 2000 release

- New York...2001...'nuff said.

- The shuttle disaster occured very close to Florida's 2004 issue

There are other lesser examples but WV's mine disaster is another startling coincidence. My state, Nevada, is next and I'm crossing my fingers.
