Westport, Missouri Stonemason's Cache Found
H. Glenn Carson's Treasure Hunting Annual Volume 1, on pg. 8, details a cache found near Westport, Missouri at what author Robert L. Tatham called The Stonemason's Cache.
The first cache found contained 58 silver dollars buried next to a stone bordering a walkway that led to a small pond. Under about 8-10 inches of soil Tatham recovered a glass "refrigerator bowl" that he broke while digging. Dates: one dated 1884, the rest dated 1921-1926.
According to Tatham, the stonemason was possibly also a bootlegger.
Was this the only cache the stonemason buried?
