After keeping an eye on silver prices I was wondering if anyone has considered putting together a list of things or articles outlining matters affecting silver availability, use, volume, and prices.

In the recent past I heard of how the future of printable batteries for smart paper is based in silver inks.

Here is an article on printable electronics using silver ink.

And silver ink used in manufacturing touch screens.

Is there any change to silver availability (in the wild) to the general consumer as silver jewelry, coins, and other meltable items are turned in to refiners? How will this affect markets remains a question those of us investing in silver should keep an eye on. It is my belief that the reduction of available silver will drive up the world markets and that the tipping point is near. However, I do not have an article to substantiate this. Anyone know of any?

What I have doesn't answer all my questions.
Availability through 2009 showing consumption versus sources, in detail. The statistics are not timely stopping in 2009.

More details, fairly recent but no comparison to older periods.

I agree with other discussion groups where the availability index will be a very good indicator of the next big spike in prices. Just wanted to put this out for discussion.
