I have a Bounty Hunter fortune hunter. I have went to the beach and some parks. I use the jewelry setting because all metal constantly beep. Funny thing is All I find is clad..... Really want to find relics and jewelry... help

So true Ivan.
First gold I found I got a signal on a cheap machine in a park.
Did not know how to discriminate iron so had dug lots of nails too.
Dug down 3" and found another pulltab. Rats!
Then I remembered a suggestion here - always check the hole again.
I did and 1/2" down was a thick gold bracelet.
Same noise as the pulltab. I was hooked! LOL

and always double check your holes -=- what happen to you grey is called "masking" the pull tab signal was hiding the gold --iron often does the same in all metal mode --hiding better stuff under or around it and messing up the signal.

signals that jump from a good signal or number to bad signal or number but still "sound" good --might be a" masked" good item -- these "iffy" signals are often passed up by younger detectorist --older detectorist seldom pass on em.
