WHAT ARE OTHERS USING TO STORE EXTRA COILS AND RODS

I'm looking for a couple bat-bags for my fly fishing and detecting gear. I've seen oversized tennis racket bags used for spare coils/rods.
Check out the second hand sporting goods stores and seasonal closeouts.

Last bat bag I had carried 3 travel fly rods, 4 reels, a pair of hipboots and shorty vest.
More than enough for a couple coils/with rods and a smaller detector-box .

How does that protect the coils?
would think they would get bang around.

Tennis bags I've seen used are the padded type. One could wrap a small towel around the coil if more protection is needed.
Same idea for the bat bags.
I guess I should be more specific, I'm referring to the compartmented bags that have separate sections for bats, gloves and gear. The more resemble a golf bag for baseball/softball gear

will look online to see if it will work

looks like most bags are to short to fit a detector with out removing lower rod and coil
but interesting idea

I'll admit it, I just chuck them in the back of the truck and tear on out.

Me too. In the back of the Jeep or car or bungeed to my bike.

I can't see how any duffle bag or rucksack is going to do much better then a beach towel.
