What are the round things?

Any ideas what the two round balls are. Found them about 3 ft apart in rural woods with no buildings around. Not magnetic and a similar bump on them. Seems like bump is from casting. One has a triangle on it. I think the bullet is a .22 but not sure. Thanks

They look like round balls for a muzzle loader to me. The bump is called a "sprue" and is from pouring the lead in a mold...d2

Mini balls. Possibly the one with the triangle is part of a hidden cache

They appear to be dropped 50 cal lead balls for a muzzle loading rifle as d2 said. It would be hard to date them as some hunters have a mold, and pour their own even today.

I have store bought round balls for my replica muzzleloader and they also have a sprue. The proper way to load is sprue up wrapped in a patch.. They might be .45 cal.
