I was wondering if someone could tell me what these cases (like the one below) are called and where they are sold? I got some for coins off of Amazon but they are not deep enough for the civil war buttons. We have only found one civil war button so far and it is delicate. I really would like to protect it. Any way thanks for any information that you can give.

Jimk, there is a guy or company called Sgt.Rikers that sells relic cases, you can do a search under that name and he will pop up in the search.

Not sure if he sells that particular case or not but he specializes in relics and cases.

thanks for the reply I will look them up

thanx sleeper. I was wondering where to get shadow boxes. My local arts & craft store stopped carrying them. Thanx for the link. Now I know where to get more shadow boxes.

These are available at Michael's Craft stores...they are for storing beads. I'm sure most all craft stores have them.

I like them for buttons and other small items. Just add a few cotton balls depending on size.

These GSB's are all from the same place.....a nice "I" button and one regular were found a short distance from the rest and are in beautiful shape.....as you can see, the others were burned. These are from a Dec, 1871 incident involving Apache's.
