I dug 3 of these a couple weeks ago. Are they cuff studs? I have a few different sizes but most about 5/8" long thanks

Yep. Looks like a shirt or cuff stud.

I also has the look of a rivet.Maybe from a miners pair of jeans?

I would agree on the rivet other than they are extremely uniform in their contour. Very much exactly the same.

These are tiny like the size of cuff studs posted above. Also clean surface on either end.

Yours doesn't have the same shape as the studs that DCMatt posted. Although he is always always, always, correct, I'm not sure on this one. Whatever Dug has posted seems to be more in line with what you have. Like him, I have dug several of these and am not sure what they are. Many, like his, have rust on one end. That suggests to me that it may have had a screw attached and could be a drawer pull or some other type of pull. Just a guess. Does yours show any sign of rust or a hole where the large end of a small screw may have been inserted?

I may post later a pic next to a coin, but like I said in the original post they are around 5/8".. and are being compared to cuff studs in discussion so should give a good idea of size.
