My brother passed last year, when we were cleaning out his house we found these two interesting items. The problem is I don't know what they are. One is brass and is heavy for its size, no two sides are alike, its about 1.25" square. The other glass item looks like a top to a coffee pot, except there are no holes in it. The item is flat on the bottom. 100_8769.webp100_8774.webp100_8773.webp100_8772.webp

Not sure on either but the Brass cube might have something to do with gauging ball bearings ??? And the glass piece looks like a insolator that was used on some sort of fencing or electrical use ... and I'm as stumped as you . IMHO , Woodstock

I forgot to mention my brother was in the restaurant remodeling business and made several trips to the Middle East and had traveled quite a bit while in the Army. He would pick-up interesting items on his travels. The brass cube has PECAIL stamped in it.

The first is a swage block. The second item reminds me of a lid that would have a rubber gasket, but the gasket is missing here. However, I "believe" it is a small juicer - maybe a lemon juicer. Normally the center of such juicers is ribbed in order to better work juice out of the pulp, but have found a similar smooth juicer on the unit below - although the one in the link is probably made of plastic.
Citrus juicer JE290 1 Litre from Kenwood UK.

Here's one where the juicer part is actually flat on top:

Or doming block. ...Guess I had the word "swage" in my head from another recent post.

I looked up the Brass item and it seems this is correct. I had never heard of such a thing. My brother was an amateur artist, so maybe he used this in his work. The glass item is not large enough to be a lemon juicer. The size is: 1.25 x 1.50" and is 3/4" at its tallest point. Thanks for the info.

Looks like a teensy-tiny Orange juice press.
