The first is a c. 1863 Civil War patriotic token. There are many varieties of both the obverse and reverse dies. Offhand, I'd guess it to be a 225/327, which is worth about $15 in Very Fine condition.

The 1837 piece is a Hard Times token. The variety is Low #20 (Rulau #34), and it would be worth $7-10 in Very Good to Fine condition.
