I lived in Egypt for years and traveled all over Jordan and Lebanon as well. I'd find pottery shards, coins, etc and not give it much thought. I'd bring them home and put them in a box. I recently got a metal detector for Christmas so I've not gotten a bit interested in coins so I got out my collection. I found these four as the most interesting and thought I'd reach out and see if anyone can tell me what they are.
Thanks....

Septimius Severus Denarius (3rd coin) - Although I'm a little concerned about if its the real deal. Pictures are not that clear & a edge shot would help.

Me to, but they do come from a desert country and the ancient coins from there tend to be really good...so:dontknow:

I agree, that's why I'm unsure, instead of 'I know'.....

Looks real enough, reverse inscription is PMTRPXIIICOSIIIPP, Horse advancing left trampling enemy.

So, it's safe to assume I should store it properly and not in a baggy with other coins.

Yes, but not because its that valuable, just because it will keep a little better.
