I went trough pile of stones I collected over the years and found some strange pebbles. They are quite flat, surface is tumbled but textured. Some of them got white lines as if it was cracked. The interesting thing is when I put them against a white touch, you see orange and yellow glow. Does anyone know What are they?

Are these beach or river stones? what location are they from? They kinda look similar to some I find on the beaches of lake Michigan a carbonate and chalcedony mix. Have you tried putting a drop of acid or vinegar on them to see if they react? if not I would try that if they don't react(fizz) probably mostly quartz in one form or another.

They are definitely from beach, never collected anything from rivers. Unfortunately I don't remember where I got them :(. I tried to put a bit vinegar on them no response. Are they quartz?

Ya probably chalcedony, chert and still possibly carbonate mix. Some banding patterns on a few of them.
