Hi Jeff!

#3 definitely looks like bone, very porous on the ends.

Tom

#3 looks like the lower end of a femur.

#1 Looks like it could be the top of a fire bow, or bow drill, but it seems too short for that.

#1 is from the shoe box under your bed ::)

I don't keep anything in Shoe boxes.

Not even shoes

Could possable be to hold a stick to start a fire by friction.

#2 is an igneous cobble. It has a porphyritic texture which indicates two differents rates of cooling of the crystals.

Or it could a rare example of a highly radioactive stone called Testoff. Usually the radioactivity is so high that
a man's testicles will eventually turn black and fall off within 6 months.

Keep us posted

George

George...are you sure #2 is not the result of your radioactive stone? :o

Afraid I don't understand the reference.

You mean that you never had a "catchall" treasures box when you were a little kid? A shoebox (in MY case it was a boot box) where you put your favorite marbles, baseball cards, small toys, weird rocks you found in the road, etc. ?

Well, EDDE, looks like some folks had boring childhoods. ;D Boogity, Boogity.

I might be wrong, but isn't it rare to find bone in the east? (Presuming that is where it was found) To me, Number 3 looks like a sponge. Bone, or sponge..VERY COOL~!!

#1 looks like an incomplete "peace pipe". used to pass one like it around with the boys back in the day :icon_shaking2:

Jeff I will give you $5.00 for all those rocks. You pay the shiping. :o :icon_scratch:
