Found this 3 ringer at a local beach that has some history, but, I've never found (or heard anyone else finding) a bullet like this there before. It measures .575 on it's narrowest side. It has a seam as you can see in the photo. Any way to tell approximate age of this thing? Looks like a drop since it doesn't look damaged, but, I guess it could have been fired into the water. The seam is still kinda rough though. Wouldn't that have been filed off before using?
It's not a common thing to find here in San Diego, so, any help from you bullet experts is appreciated.
