✅ SOLVED What could have caused these coins to wear like they did?

I have nothing else to do so I thought I would bother Y'all with a trivial post. I found these three coins in a Coin Star reject tray. I don't know why it kicked the dime out but I can understand the penny and quarter. I just wonder what could have caused the extreme wear to them.

They must have been in the dryer since they were minted!:laughing7:

I was thinking maybe somebody used them as a medium in a rock tumbler... same idea

I lean more towards them being 'lucky pocket pieces' carried always every time the person changes clothes, for possibly decades

I am for the tumbler They were definitely in something that put the hurt on them quickly. Kids and tumbling media. They were found together. Too much of a coinkydink
