The mister went out yesterday to the site where two late 1800's houses possibly stood,found a little rivet indicative of that time period and an usual piece that looks almost like a spigot of some kind except for the fact that the only hole in the piece doesn't go all the way through as you can see.it feels like lead to me but has a slight green patina like old brass.

Its a barrell tap & made of brass (the centre piece turns normally with a key to reveal the hole & let the beer or cider out)
