what could this small badge be?

Found this today in a site that is producing finds from the late 1800's to the 1940's this is a shield with a W on it. Made of copper, slightly curved so it was mounted on something rounded. It's 3" tall and 2" wide.

Yeah, that makes sense with the size of it and how it attached. I will lookup bike manufacturers with W from that time frame. Thank you.

I also think it is a bike badge.

There is a good forum out there for restoring vintage bikes. I bet one of those guys would know.
