Thanks to Tnet member Monstarules, I got a bit more adventurous in getting to the dirt cup of the coinstar....
I'm friendly with a store mgr, who was by pure coincidence getting ready to open the beast up, just as I was approaching the reject tray.
She kept the Ike, but let me keep the $5.68 in clad, 4 sqwished souvenir pennies, a toasted IH WITH NO DATE:BangHead:

Then, she pulls out the tray that catches the pocket lint, bong screens, and buttons etc...
I grab the junk earring, she grabs the little necklace, shrugs her shoulders, and says it's junk.
"Can I have it?....
She hands it to me.:laughing7:
The chain has a mark on the clasp, 926
The pendant is marked 925 FAS THAI

The back of the locket has 9 little holes, representing the setting of the stones....

Diamonds?
Silver locket?
White gold chain?

Ok jewelry pros, what's up with this?

Oh, and thanks for looking!:hello:

who would put that in a COIN star machine?

People dump the contents of jars and cans of coins, not thinking that there might be jewelry in with the coins. If that pendant is Silver, it should have a 925 or Sterling hallmark on it. Also,, it is rare that you will find diamonds set in silver. If the the stones are pasted in, they are probably fake. Even if they are set in prongs, it is highly unlikely that they are diamonds.

There's no question the 925 is on the pendant....
Love those numbers....
The chain says 926... dafuq is that?
I'm really good at finding CZ's.... seems like once a month my wife shakes her head in disappointment

It is sterling. The "926" you think you read is likely actually "925", again sterling. The only thing you have to check is that it is actually sterling and not a fake. Most of the fakes will stick to magnet, but not all. Diamonds could be real, but even if they are it isn't much of an added value. Either way congrats - coinstars are where I've found the most jewelry ironically.

Like against the wind said - people dump jars of contents without checking what all is in there first. I've found a few gold rings, a gold pendant, and odd ball earrings as well as some sterling stuff. No need to check now people - please proceed with blindly dumping!

Nice score! Congrats!

They do put diamonds in silver jewelry, test them then you know for sure.
