What is this oddly ear’d artifact? Just a wider cutting diameter arrowhead? Help me out here please. IMG_2953.webpIMG_2954.webp

Possibly the lower portion of a triangular point with the top broken off. Looks like obsidian. You must be out west in the U.S.

Could be a broken, worked piece. They didn't always make a perfect point and would discard the rejects.

It’s definitely obsidian. I suppose I should have clarified. I know it’s a point, I just haven’t found one it’s this wide of a base. I was wondering if it was a certain type based off the photos.

Could be a triangle type point back or maybe the center portion of a long eared elko, where it would have been hafted and broke off the main point.

I agree. Gunther point.

I also think it's the broken base to a point.

I agree, its a triangle point broken base. I have found several out west (white and obsidian).
