It's not a natural stone, don't you think that the holes placed neatly in the shape of a book have no meaning?

I don't see a book. Or a scroll.
Can imagine the RH hole that's a bit elongated is an eye.
And to it's right a Roman nose.
Mouth below that , and finally a chin below that.
It's not a human head though. Just imagination.
Nice flat top haircut though!

It's interesting, but I can't make any conclusions about who did it, why or when, as I have nothing to compare it to.
