How interesting. That symbol is not familiar to me. A 5 pointed star tilted on its axis... Where did you find it, and are there any hallmarks that may indicate its age?

The rectangle with the star in it was used during and after ww-2 to show a son in the military service. Normally the colors were red, white and blue. blue border , white field and red star. Thats the first thing that came to mind. It was found on pins and flags, but I would not count it out on a ring also. That appears to be a mans ring though.Almost all items of this type were for the mother of the service man. There was a recent revival of this sign in the past few years.
I may be off base but its a starting point. ??? :-\

Intresting Idea.

Especially since we did find many items worn for that purpose there.
From Religeous Items to Military Items.

You May be correct.

There is also a Military Base within 20 miles & The Swimming area
was used Regularly By the Units for Recreation, at that time.

I"ll handle this one................it is a Dallas Cowboy ring, made in 1989, Jimmy Johnsons 1st year as head coach when he led them to a 1 win- 15 loss record; thus the tilted star. Am I right jeff? Sorry, thats all I got............

Then it should be valuable after this season when Bill Parcells leads them to another 1-15 record.
