it is the size head on it 1 being smallest, 2 then 3. Most times one is referring to phillips type screwdriver when they ask. But straight edges are also sized that way. You can find them at any hardware store like Lowes etc

Thank you! I didn't want to buy a new one if I had one on-hand.

If you are going opal hunting don,t bother buying new tools. Grab a handful of old chisels, screwdrivers, sledge hammers, etc.
also don,t forget heavy gloves, goggles (a must), and a long sleeve shirt. Busting opals out of the native basalt is hard, sweaty work but you can find some beautiful specimens.

Good luck
Steve

Take a walk thru your computer search routine and you will most likely get your answer. These guys will tell you its larger than a No. 1 and smaller than a No. 3. :tongue3:

I was going to comment that it is not as good as a #1 but that wouldn't be nice.

Cheap bashing, gouging and poking tools are found at many garage sales.

My #1 screwdriver is my best screwdriver. #2 is my second best.

Is it called an "Avis"? Will it try harder? :tard:
