I am not great at identifying ancients, but it appears to be Tiberius

The pics on this page appear close. I am guessing it is RIC 238a, though not 100% sure.

They're usually made of an off metal for starters but I'd take it to a coin dealer that is familiar with ancient coins to get their opinion. I assume it doesn't say "copy" on it anywhere?

....and was it found in Alabama or Albania....that makes a big difference

It does? I think it's much more likely to be found in Europe but immigrants to this country brought all kinds of different coins with them over the centuries. Not to mention that they can be fresh drops from somebodies collection or "pocket" good luck charm.

Whatever it is it can't have been in the ground more than a few months. Real? Sure, could easily be! Take to a reputable dealer to be sure. E
