Found this in the woods today, what in the world would somebody need a spike this size for? If it is a spike, it’s so dull on both ends I can’t imagine it’s sharp enough to split wood or stone, maybe some sort of huge pin? I don’t know why anybody would need a hunk of iron this size
 

My mind was in a complete other place. I can def believe it’s a harrow spike thanks. I need to start looking old farm implements considering I hunt farmland so I can recognize these things

Could also be a picket pin, for ground hitching your horse. that's why it's tapered.

I was thinking tree wedge but it looks more like the harrow spikes.

OK then, thanks for the picture Antiquarin, I myself had no idea what a "Harrow" spike was, now, I do.
