Last week marked 10 years since I first came to Treasurenet. To borrow a line from an old song, “What a long, strange trip it’s been.” And what an education! From IDing fish bones to deciphering 16[SUP]th[/SUP] century scrimshaw to researching a pocket watch from George Washington, I sometimes think I’ve seen it all on the “What is it” forum. Then the next bizarre item pops up and it’s a whole new adventure.

It has been my privilege to work with (and sometimes against :tongue3: ) many superior minds and excellent researchers on this forum. There are too many of you to mention by name but we all know who you are…

Thanks to everyone who contributes. Here’s to 10 more years of one of the best places on the internet to get a mystery solved.

This forum never fails to make my day.

Very sincerely,

DCMatt

P. S. 'Ask Mark Parker' ain’t got nuthin’ on us.

Well it's great having you here Matt! I've learned a lot from your posts. Remember way back when how only about half of the posts included photos? Thank goodness for improved technology, eh?

Thx Ben!

I look forward to 3d holographic projection on T-net so we can view a relic from any angle we choose.

Although I spend less time in here than I used to, I agree with what you said. Most know I'm always at the end of a PM to help, but mostly there is no need because you & others get the job done. Well done.
