Left piece looks like an external tooth lock washer. Can’t tell the right piece otherwise i’d call it trash.

It looks like the remains of a 16 tooth grinding wheel dresser. They get used up and are discarded. The photo shows what they look like when new. The only other possibility is a worn down rowel from a spur. Not sure what the other find is, maybe an ore car rail spike or horse shoe nail?

Interesting. Yeah ive been trying to get back there to dig around but last two times ive gone there some vagrant is there being creepy. He was on his side digging a hole yesterday, didnt say a word. I almost walked up on him. Freaked me out a little. Today he was still there digging but a little ways away
