Ice Skate sharpener?

I'm guessing that last one is an early version of a box cutter, the blades had creases where you could break them off a small piece at a time.

I think that the last photo is just a side view of the object. But I never seen a skate sharpening stone that looked like this one, not with two grooves anyway, the ones I have seen only had one groove down the middle, none that intersected. The stone also looks too fine for something like a skate blade. Might be something so lap out a metal pump seal or something like that, just a guess, looks fine enough grain though to do the finishing and not to cut off a lot of metal. But it is also hard to tell the coarseness of the stone from the photos, but it isn't anything I have ever seen either.

perhaps the gridded side was not for sharpening...but non slip when placed on rag or hyde

Today we could as some in the past heat a potatoe as a handwarmer. Soapstone was at one time heated and used for warming also. Those old time ladies shoes would appreciate help warming toes in winter. Mention is made of using them in buggies. Perhaps the grooved side releases heat better or gives a grip so it don,t slide off the bed or bounce around in the buggy,or is for draining melted snow?
Here is one called a bed warmer that is grooved.comodo.webp

Others called buggy foot warmers. My suspicion is they were used for both .
