Not sure what it is. Knife sharpener maybe? I'm not even sure what it is made out of. Looks like Ceramic or stone. I think its a sharpening stone from the fur trade era to sharpen scythes and sickles but some others think its a fossil. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,172150.0.html I think you need to rub a little oil on it and see if it will sharpen a knife.
