by the looks of it and the seclusion perhaps you should be identifying the body not the car. J/K
I can't help you out cause I'm not that old ;D

Does every old car meet the same fate?  While looking for yours I found this... it's NOT your car, but looks like it died from the same problem!

late 40's Ford... and I'm just guessing!

Notice similarities... it's hard to tell with custom work what exactly has changed, but maybe I'll get close enough to help someone smarter than me figure it out!

Almost looks like a Packard, just a little off though. Late 40's. early 50's had some of the same features.... split window, straight bars on grill, rounded back end, hood with a nose on it.

But I can't find the exact same car. :(

Yes that looks Extremely Close Jim Except for the Windshiels & maby Front Parking Lights. Hard to say on them from the angle.

It has the parking lights of the '46 Ford.Starting in '47,they were small and round right under each headlight. It appears it could also be a Plymouth sedan,'46-48.

It's a '46 Ford which was actually a '42 style that was halted because of the war. When the car companies went back to making cars in '46 they continued with the '42 style. Tony

Yeah, 46 Ford, the one in the other picture is a customized car with a one piece windshield added.

We had a 48' Ford that looked a lot like that, so now you have a nice range of sure things to work with. Let the debates begin.

Jeff and Montana, u two need to go back and try seeing if you can have those cars, esp you montana, yours looks like it has very lil rust just the front bumper and grill would pay for itself.

When I was there I looked for anything on it I could Remove & take along as a Find.
There was nothing.
Not even the Glove box.
