I found this in a church [emoji547] built in 1841 and was used as a confederate hospital is it a carved civil war bullet is it old how old is it??

To be honest it looks like a button stud or whatever it's called like on a pair of jeans.

I agree , jeans snap or maybe an overall fastener , It's not a bullet for sure , it's brass . it does have some age to it though.
