I found two copper or bronze round bars the other day while scallop diving. One is about 10" long and 1/2 " wide flared or hammered on the ends and the other was found about ten feet away same size but stuck in old wood, and broked off one end. Any ideas?Found near boothbay harbor, ME.

They could be drift-pins that I believe were used to bind the deck framing to the ribs. I've got a couple that I found in an old shipyard trash pile that were actually made of bronze. Post some pics for better identification.

Good call, I took them to a place that works on wood boats, and a guy said thay are indeed drift pins. Now I gotta get back to see what else I can find. Maybe my first shipwreck own my own!

Congrats man! I'll try to take a pic of the ones I've found for comparisson. Meanwhile, shoot me a picture of yours as well!!!
