On Tuesday, a friend of mine returned to a site where he’s found a few Canadian Queen Victoria Large Cents. Along with a 1957 dog tag, an old button and newer buckle this ornate brass relic came out of the ground. This large piece measures 11 1/4" length x 1 3/4" wide, bottom ornate piece measures 3 1/4" wide x 2 1/4" height.

Any ideas on what exactly this large metal piece is and what it was used for would be appreciated.

Thats a crazy piece dave !! Im clueless as to what it might be.....is it brass or copper ???

Through some online research I think I figured it out... I believe it's a Drape/Curtain ‘hold back’.

Let me know what you all think, if the consensus is that it's a curtain hold-back then I'll mark the thread as solved. :thumbsup:
