What is this called

Is that made of ivory?

Not sure what it's called I'd say Chinese carving possibly ivory or could be a synthetic material.

Is there any grain to the material which would suggest it might be ivory.

My only ivory has two little holes in the bottom from being hung or something I wondered if yours had the same. If its ivory or bone it's a mega sweet find thanks for posting the pic HH

I think Bruce nailed it. Have seen somewhat similar items in Chinese restaurants that had chopsticks sticking out of them. But never anything THAT impressive.

I kind a thought you were right as a holder cup kind of dealeo, but for these carved bone forks instead of chop sticks is what came to my mind when you mentioned chopstick holder.
