went out today with redcardhack. we each found a mercury dime and other useless treasure.
trying to figure out what this is.it;s non metalic. we were thinking an old pocket watch part it measeres 1 5/8 across.

It is part of a wrist watch. I have dug up a couple myself.

If it's non-metallic I doubt it's for a watch. What's it make of? bakelite? cardboard? ceramic?
