What is this? Found in Bedford, IN

I found this in a narrow strip of grass next to the road, about 3 inches down. It is extremely light, my guess is aluminum... Any Ideas

It looks like a belt buckle maybe,,,,but it isn't someone's personal coat of arms.Looks like it was some designer maybe.Howeverdon't know of any clothing manufacturer who uses that design as a trade mark off the top of my head.
