✅ SOLVED What is this guys and gals experts "Military"

Okay forum experts. I just got this from an estate that was stored in a garage. What was this used for? It looks to be military. Maybe WW1? It is almost 2 foot long. The feet folds out to help it stand up. There are metal pads at the bottom of the arms. go at it guys and gals.
